PHONE, TABLET OR DIGITAL CAMERA?

The preference is a digital camera, if none is available then a higher quality photo from a phone will do, in which case try to take a photo in good natural lighting and fill the frame with your subject to get the best possible picture.

WHATS THE BEST ANGLE?

Your portrait will be most likely displayed eye level on your wall so your best bet will be to photograph your pet from their level. Getting on their level better displays their features and has you eye to eye with your subject.

PHOTOGRAPH OUTSIDE OR INSIDE?

The best place to get a picture is in natural lighting, the best place to find that is outside! A photograph taken outside or at a window in good lighting will give better highlights and contrast and your device will take a more detailed picture for the best portrait photo possible.

FULL BODY PHOTO OR A HEAD SHOT?

This is a more situational question, the closer you get to your subject the more detail you can capture in the photo, as long as you try to fill the frame of the photo with your subject there should be enough detail to work with. But remember for the best portrait you need the photo with the most detail.

DO YOU SEND PORTRAITS WORLDWIDE?

Yes! but please note that shipping is a separate cost and it will take a bit more time to get to you.

HOW DO I MAKE A PAYMENT?

Once it is time to either collect the first deposit to begin the artwork, an invoice will be sent to your email via paypal with a detailed description of your ordered portrait. Using the paypal link in the invoice you can send money with a card or your own paypal account.

WHAT SIZE PHOTOS AND HOW MANY SHOULD I SEND?

The size should be the size of the original picture taken. The largest picture you can take is ideal but don't resize a photo as you will lose detail. You can send as many as you would like, it is recommended to send at least three but if your set on a specific photo you can send just one. All photos must first be approved.

CAN CHANGES BE MADE ONCE THE PORTRAIT IS COMPLETE

Yes, minor changes can be made throughout the process and the final image will be sent for approval before shipping.

WILL I BE ABLE TO USE MY PORTRAIT COMMERCIALLY OR MAKE PRINTS FOR MY FAMILY?

The client holds the copyright to the photo that I work from, however I hold the copyright on the artwork created from the photo. I will never sell or reproduce your portrait or allow its display on a website or social media page apart from my own without written permission from the client. However, the client may purchase prints and other merchandise featuring their commission from KS Designs Studios after the artworks completion.

WILL YOU BE DISPLAYING MY PORTRAIT ON YOUR WEBSITE?

Yes the majority of my work will be displayed on my website, if you do not want it on my website or facebook page please let me know before I start the commission.
